Under Administrator > Integrations, Global sync/import configurations allow you to, globally, enable Pure ID match for configurable synchronisations such as the Person and Organisation sychronisations.

How

These synchronisations are not able to update manually created content per default.

• But if you have manually created content such as Organisation and would like the synchronisation to take over and update this content, then you can do so by using this feature.
• If this is enabled, then you can add the Organisation Pure ID as the Association ID on a Person.
  You would do that in the XML like this:
