Usage analytics

From the Usage analytics tab you can access aggregated analytics from audit. This includes number of users that login, their roles and how much content is created. You can see numbers both by accumulated both by frequency and time of day. 

 

Overview dashboard

Go to the Usage analytics tab and select the Overview

Here you can see  aggregated logins grouped by user roles, and you can see aggregated volumes of created content grouped by content type, for the past 6 months.

You can drill further down in these numbers from the tabs Logins and Content

From both tabs you can narrow down the analytics by user role, using the dropdown, and visualize it by 6 different bar types:

  • Area
  • Area spline
  • Bar
  • Column
  • Line
  • Spline

Time period

You can define the time period by using the time scale bar below the graph.

Click and hold your mouse at the starting point, and drag the mouse to the desired end point and release the button. This will make the graph adapt to the selected period. See recording below:

View activity by time of day

The analytics and also show the aggregated logins by time of day, so you can see when users are most often logging in. This can also be filtered down to specific user roles from the dropdown. 

You can at any point in the graph hover your mouse to see the actual numbers, like illustrated below.

 

Content

The content tab gives an overview of how much content is created, deleted or modified within a specified period, using bars in different colors.

Hovering the mouse on each bar will reveal details:

And clicking on a bar will give further details:

You can toggle between highlighting / hiding the different actions by clicking on the:

  • content:create
  • content:delete
  • content:modify

below the graph.

Usage analytics disable/enable

If you do not wish to collect this information you can disable this.

If you disable the collection of usage data, you will not be able to see any usage analytics dashboards for your Pure instance.
